Purpose: This standard specifies the accreditation requirements for all certification bodies operating FSC certification programs. The regular revision process aims to ensure the continued relevance and effectiveness of the general requirements for FSC accredited CBs.
Objective(s): Ensure that FSC certification programs are managed in a competent, consistent, impartial, transparent, rigorous, reliable and credible manner, thereby facilitating their acceptance on a national and international basis and so furthering international trade and promoting sustainable development.
