Purpose: To describe how to evaluate the positive impact that FSC certification has on ecosystem services at the management unit level. The procedure will also help define how to make credible promotional claims based on the results of these evaluations. The ultimate goal is to develop new tools for certificate holders to access ecosystem services markets.

  • To describe the methods to evaluate the impact of forest management activities on ecosystem services;
  • To create the basis of verified impacts for credible FSC promotional claims.
