20 PER CENT OF FOREST-BASED TRADE BY 2020

Measuring FSC’s presence in global forest product supply chains

The FSC Global Strategic Plan calls FSC to reach 20 per cent market share in global forest-based trade by 2020. To achieve this goal, FSC has developed a method to assess its current market share and track progress toward the goal.

FSC’s market share is measured by using six indicators. These indicators reflect the diverse forest products market and different stages of supply chains. These indicators, together with the sub-indicators, aim at representing the forest products value chain – from forests to shelves.
