Controlled Wood

All stakeholders will be invited to provide feedback on risk assessments Slovenia, Hungary, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina, Honduras, and Peru. Spanish language versions of the risk assessments will be available in addition to the English language versions for the Latin American countries. The consultation will open from 15 January to 13 February 2018.

FSC risk assessments are used to determine the risk of an organization obtaining material from unacceptable sources when sourcing controlled wood.

Currently, risk assessments for Controlled Wood Category 4 are based on legal analysis alone. To fill the resulting information gap, we ask that stakeholders provide information regarding forest conversion data.

Stakeholder feedback received during the consultation period will be used to finalize these risk assessments.

Stakeholders are asked to submit feedback to Tatjana Stutzkowsky (t.stutzkowsky@fsc.org) by 13 February 2018.

All information – risk assessments and comment forms – may be found here on 15 January 2018.
