One in three Belgians knows the FSC label - FSC awareness in Belgium doubled in last two years

One in three Belgians knows the FSC label

At the end of 2009, roughly one in seven Belgians recognized the FSC label. New independent re-search has shown that by the end of 2011 this ratio increased to one in three people! With such high recognition rates, the FSC label is now by far the most recognized label on wood or timber products in Belgium.

According to the research, the key reason for the increased awareness of the FSC label is the growth in clear and highly visible labeling on wood and paper products. Compared to 2009 this has increased enormously.

The amount of FSC certified wood and paper products on the Belgian market also grew in recent years, and this also contributes to increased visibility of the FSC logo. Whether it is in the DIY store, retailer of wood shop, more and more wooden products carry the FSC logo. Printed paper products and cash register bills or bank notes with an FSC logo on them are even more widely spread.
