© FSC A.C.Train the Trainers Asia is coordinated in conjunction with the RECOFTC - The Center for People and Forests and with the guidance of the Regional Office and the National Offices in the Asia-Pacific region.
In response to the smallholders’ needs for better understanding of FSC certification and its benefits, FSC puts localized, appropriate training on certification, entrepreneurship, and markets at the heart of Train the Trainers Asia-Pacific..
The first two years of the program in Asia (2012-2013) are a pilot to test the efficacy of the Train the Trainers delivery model to achieve the following goals:
- To develop a pool of competent trainers across the Asia-Pacific region that use pro-poor value-chain approaches to developing smallholder FSC certification
- To develop training materials that can be used and adapted to a variety of national contexts
- To strengthen the capacities of FSC National Offices to deliver training and support to smallholders
Train the Trainers Asia-Pacific is generously funded by AkzoNobel through the Global Partnership agreement.
