Special briefing document online: Forests and our Future
As part of the Forest Stewardship Council’s contribution to the Rio+20 conference, we have produced a special briefing document which sets out our position on the Rio+20 Framework of Action. In it, we call upon governments to agree on a Rio+20 framework of action that bolsters commitments to certification as a tool for sustainable development.
The Food And Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations (ICFPA) and the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Association (Bracelpa) will promote this event on June 18th, to discuss the forest activities and their contribution to sustainable development and the eradication of poverty, __________________________
